Sometimes in life, God throws us a curve ball. As we go through our day-to-day lives, we often forget about the special people around us in our circle of family and friends. We also sometimes take for granted our heroes in life.

Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Period. His death last Sunday, along with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Bryant, in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California is an unexpected tragedy that leaves us stunned and searching for answers. Along with Kobe and Gianna, the helicopter’s pilot, a women’s soccer coach, and parents and teammates of Gianna also perished in the crash. God rest all their souls.

As we try to make sense of these tragedies, we often look to Journalists to provide us information that will explain what happened, and tell us those wonderful stories about the people we admire.
