#MakeOverMonday 2019.34 – Cellphone Use – Teens vs. Parents Waffle Chart

So, this week presented some challenges for me.

We moved over the weekend and I was without Internet for a few days. I don’t know which was more painful: moving after 20 years or not having Internet for 3 days.

I have been wanting to create a dataviz using a Waffle Chart for a while. I used Andy Kriebel’s Tableau Tip Tuesday: How to Create Waffle Charts, from his vizwiz.com web site as inspiration. The link to it is here.

Some of the Tableau guys I work with mentioned there is a new way to create waffle chart datavizzes without using Andy’s Excel template. I did not have a lot of time to research other methods, but welcome feedback on alternative methods of doing this.

I first learned about Waffle Charts from Robert Kosara’s excellent web site, EagerEyes. Here is a link to Robert’s article on Waffle Charts and Understanding Pie Charts.

Here is the link to it on Tableau Public.

That’s it for this week!
