Marco Giannini is the Infographics Editor at La Repubblica. After graduating from Università degli Studi di Roma ‘La Sapienza’, and getting his PhD in Italian Literature and Linguistic, Marco worked for almost 4 years at the popular weekly magazine Avvenimenti as a graphic and infographic designer.
In 2000, he was hired by La Repubblica, one of the top daily Italian newspapers, and has been creating infographics and data visualizations there for the past 15 years. He achieved the qualification as a professional journalist in early 2011.
He is also skilled in animated and interactive graphics, mostly done for his newspaper; he worked for several international clients, and taught various audience about infographics and data visualization.
