I came across this interesting infographic related to Groundhogs Day today. It was created and featured on the portfolio of Madison Townend (Whitlock) (photo, right). She is a Graphic Designer currently based in the Northwest Territories. She graduated from the Design and Digital Media program at Grant MacEwan University in the spring of 2014. What Madison finds most interesting about design is it’s ability to communicate in the simplest way. Her personal design aesthetic is slightly feminine with soft color tones that play on her love for simple design. She also enjoy designing websites and company branding. Madison’s favorite things include baking, knitting, beer, and chocolate.

Madison explains,

This is an infographic that I developed to visually explain the looping timeline of the movie “Groundhog Day”. The timeline of the movie is placed along the route that the main characters take from Pittsburgh to Punxsutawney, PA. The timeline is split up into three sections representing the different acts of the movie, with different plot points placed along it representing the individual days that loop. The loops are represented by the off-path lines colour coded to where the setting of the day begins.
